Prayer Groups

Prayer is central to the life of St. John’s. We have an informal Prayer Group which meets regularly within the church.

Prayer for the church family and the local community

On the first and third Saturday of each month we meet at 9am to pray for our church members, their friends and family and the life of the community of Outwood Common and the people who live here.

We pray for peace in the streets of Outwood Common. We pray for all who live in Outwood Common, but do not worship with us, whether they worship at other churches, or choose not to attend church at all.

We pray for the children who attend Sunnymede School, their teachers, their parents and grandparents who support them.

We pray for everyone who attends our non-worship activities, including those who come to our cafe, our film nights, Small Wonders our toddler group and our Midweek Break over 60s club.

We pray for all who come to use our premises for non-church activities, including the Brownies and those who come to Slimming World.

We pray for all who have come to live next door to us at Anisha Grange, and the staff who serve them.

We keep notes of the topics about which we have prayed. We always give thanks to God for the ways in which He has answered our prayers in the previous few weeks, before praying for the individuals about whose needs we are aware.

If you would like us to pray for you, please come along on any 1st or 3rd Saturday, and we will do that.
