Christmas Day – Family Service at 10.00am.

Both of the great Christian festivals, Christmas and Easter, have periods of preparation. We get ready for Christmas through Advent and for Easter, through Lent.

During Advent we light candles and sing ‘Come Lord Jesus,’ thinking both of the birth of the baby in Bethlehem, but also of the second coming, when God will restore Heaven with Earth and bring all creation and all people into God’s Kingdom for ever.

Waiting for something to happen, or for something to arrive through the post is often frustrating. As we wait for Christmas this year, amidst all the busyness of shopping, wrapping presents and cooking, why not take a break and  join us on Sundays at 10.00am for a time of reflection and prayer, it would be great to see you.

St John’s is an open and inclusive community church, where everyone is truly welcome no matter what stage they may be at in their life journey, who they are, or what they believe.

We celebrate Christmas at St John’s with a traditional Carol Service, a family Christingle Service and we meet for family worship on Christmas Day. You would be very welcome to join us.
